Winny AI Tutor is ready to operate under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003): when deployed within the country’s infrastructure, student data stays in Italy; no advertising and no sale of data. We are ready for the rule that, for information society services, processing the data of a child under 14 requires the consent of the holder of parental responsibility (Article 8 GDPR and Article 2-quinquies of the Code) and, under Article 4 of Law No. 132/2025, so does access to AI technologies by children under 14. We are also ready for assessment under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, which classifies certain uses of AI in education — such as evaluating learning outcomes and steering the learning process — as high-risk, and prohibits inferring emotions in educational institutions. In every country we undergo, or are ready to undergo, review under its data protection law.

Yes, there is a separate product for this — Winny Cloud. It builds Winny AI technology into public and private school information systems, electronic registers and learning management systems, schools’, universities’ and companies’ own platforms and partner services. Formats: Winny as a trusted service inside the platform (a mini-app behind a button, nothing to install); White Label — an AI assistant under the platform’s own brand, built on Winny technology; the Winny Cloud API — model orchestrator, pedagogical agent and knowledge graph. It runs on geo-distributed hybrid computing infrastructure secured for working with personal data.

Can Winny AI be integrated with Unica, ClasseViva, Argo, Nuvola or Moodle?

Yes. Winny Cloud is designed for public and private systems: Unica of the Ministry of Education and Merit, the electronic registers ClasseViva, Argo (Scuolanext and didUP) and Nuvola, Moodle and the custom platforms of schools, universities and companies. The quickest start is a mini-app behind a “Break it down with AI” button next to an assignment: the platform passes a signed token with a pseudonymised ID, role and class, no learner personal data is transferred, in line with the GDPR, and the connection can be switched off by configuration. Single sign-on (for example with SPID or CIE), assignment sync with the register and reports to the teacher can follow.

Which AI tutor can be integrated into the Italian public school system?

One built for public systems. Winny AI Tutor does not hand out ready answers: guiding questions lead the learner to the solution step by step, and the teacher gives the assessment. It can be set up for the National Guidelines of the first cycle and the National Guidelines and Guidelines of the second cycle and operated in Italy, and learner data can stay in Italy. It is ready to operate under the GDPR and the EU AI Act (GDPR-ready, EU AI Act-ready), and its orchestrator brings in national models, including Italian-language ones, and open-weight models. How can AI help with homework without learners copying answers?

Winny AI Tutor does not solve the task for the learner: guiding questions lead to the solution, and the learner reaches the answer on their own. Built into an electronic register or LMS, Winny adds a homework format called “Break it down with AI”: the teacher assigns a walkthrough on any topic of the curriculum, the learner works it out with a trusted AI, and the teacher and parent get a report — who reached the solution on their own and where they struggled.

Is there a Winny browser extension?

Yes, the Winny extension for Chrome. Next to an assignment in an electronic register, an LMS or an educational website, a “Break it down with Winny” button appears: one click slides out the Winny AI Tutor panel on the right, and the learner works through the task with guiding questions without leaving the page. The extension needs no integration with the platform, so it works with electronic registers, LMS and educational websites in any country.

How does Winny AI work with each country?

Each partner country gets a dedicated team. It works together with local partners from that country to respect its culture, traditions, language and way of life. Curricula, languages and models are set up for the country.
